What makes an effective graphics designer? As a child, commercials intrigued me more than the TV shows themselves! This curiosity for what changes people's buying habits continued while studying advertising in college and has culminated into a career in marketing and graphic design. To this day, I approach every project with the goal of finding its WOW factor!
I spent 18 years building Dippin' Dots' Graphics Department basically "from the ground up."What started as a "one woman band" with a few pictures and limited resources, has now grown into a full-service graphics department. As the company grew, so did my opportunity to create packaging, POP, ads, signage, and equipment programs. Most likely, you've seen my work anywhere you've seen Dippin' Dots...malls, major theme parks, pro sports stadiums, etc. With both corporate and free-lance experience, my understanding of clients' creative and production needs runs deep. This experience proved invaluable as I moved from being a graphic designer myself to leading a team of designers as the Director of Marketing & Graphic Design for Dippin' Dots.
Now as the Senior Director of Marketing for Dippin' Dots and Doc Popcorn, I am not only focused on great design but also on developing great promotions and social media strategies with a full team of graphic designers and media relations professionals!
